People on Moving Sidewalk

This Should Be Better

My father is a paralyzed veteran. My mother has severe asthma. I traveled with both of them to Salt Lake City, Utah for the 2016 paralyzed veterans wheelchair games. On our flight back into Charlotte, North Carolina, several veterans were on our flight. My mother and I unloaded and waited for my father. We waited 30 minutes when we had been the last walking people off the plane. The wheelchairs were not ready for the passengers. Then the employees assigned to help the paralyzed individuals get off the plane complained about having so many unable people on a flight so early in the morning. Another lady was rude when I asked if everything was ok. They had my father waiting in an aisle chair for over 15 minutes. This is a health concern which can cause pressure ulcers that can be very serious. TSA cares was originally supposed to escort us to our next gate with my mother’s health and my father having to push himself in the wheelchair on top of myself carrying all the bags. The cart never showed up. We asked the lady at the desk if she would call someone and she rudely said “uh they are coming.” We waited another 20 minutes and no one showed up. We found a cart and an employee sitting with no one and asked for him to take us. He took off and told us to follow him. Did not allow my mother or father to ride. Our experience at the Charlotte airport was horrible. Customer service is not their best skill.
