Airplane in Sky

Wheelchairs to the Back of the Line

My wife has Multiple Sclerosis and depends upon assistance to walk. On our 20th anniversary trip from Alabama to Phoenix we chose to fly first class. Our return trip was delayed because of airline mechanical problems and we were to stay over an additional night at the airport in an area hotel provided by them. We were neglected in all ways during the process and forced to be the very last in line for accommodations and transportation. Mindful that we paid more than others, 1st class, and it did not matter. Disability is ignored when airlines experience a change in plans. The problem then is that airlines daily experience changes in plans due to a host of reasons. Those who need help the most are left to fend for themselves. The airlines need to focus on this issue. It will require more than a few golf carts.
